ABOUT

Mark Nozeman studied history ending one year later on the Academy of Fine Arts. After the graduation a job at the photography collection department of the Dutch National Museum of Ethnology encouraged an ongoing fascination of the theme landscape and memory. Inspired by the idea to combine these social perspectives in the field of documentary photography he left the photography department after two years committed to work on photography projects and commissioned assignments; photo stories in context of a personal narrative. Storytelling on human condition in words and images.

Projects and book publications were shown at; SESC Pompeia, São Paulo Brazil (2006), the Royal Tropical Museum Amsterdam (2007), National Museum of Tirana Albania (2008), PAN#17 Amsterdam (2008), Art Rotterdam (2009), International Photo Festival Noorderlicht (2009),  Aleppo Syria (2009), Melkweg Gallery Amsterdam (2010), Artget Gallery, Belgrade Serbia (2010), FotoWeekDC 2010 Washington D.C (U.S) and more recently, Flash Forward Festival 2012 Boston, Massachusetts (U.S), PhotoNOLA Festival of Photography New Orleans (2012).
